Albemarle County is pleased to present an update on the progress of the Crozet Streetscape Project as of January 31, 2014. Relocation of the utilities, including removing poles from Crozet Avenue, is now 100% complete in a critical first step of the project. The County has issued a Notice to Proceed to the project contractor, Linco, with an anticipated substantial completion date of October 2014. The Contractor should be on the ground in February, with noticeable work beginning in mid to late February. The County will announce the date of the ground breaking of construction and other key milestones as soon as they are available. Please keep track of the latest developments with the Crozet Streetscape via one or more of the following methods:

A reminder that our Virginia state delegate R. Steven Landes, of our 25th House district will hold at Town Hall meeting tomorrow, Saturday, January 4, at 9:30 AM at the Crozet Library.
He has also posted his annual legislative survey, at www.stevelandes.com. You are invited to complete it by January 13, 2014.

Sorry to report that in the mid-afternoon of Saturday, November 9, two cars parked at Mint Springs Valley Park had their windows smashed and contents stolen. Trick or Treat on The Square – 4 to 6PM!
Mountainside Living invites you to a free, fun and safe trick or treat event.
Please join us on Thursday, October 31st from 4-6 pm for Trick or Treat on the Square.
The residents of Mountainside Living along with Mudhouse, Crozet Hardware, Georgetown West Dayspa and Parkway Pharmacy will hand out candy to all the trick or treaters. Our residents at Mountainside are so excited about seeing the children in their costumes and handing out candy and we don’t want to disappoint them. So please pass the word on and bring the family! We can’t wait to see everyone there!
