Combined CCA and Crozet Town Meeting at 7PM on November 8, 2012

Combined ​Crozet Community Association and Crozet Town Hall Meeting
November 8 at 7:00 PM at the Field School (across from Crozet Elementary). 

Supervisor Ann Mallek, along with the Crozet Community Advisory Council and Albemarle County staff, and the Crozet Community Association invite residents to attend a combined Crozet Community Association and Crozet Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, November 8, 2012 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Field School (Old Crozet Elementary School).  (Instead of the normal CCA meeting start time of 7:30 PM)

In addition to the CCA regular meeting items of A moment in Crozet History by Phil James, the meeting will focus on a variety of topics including

  • Updates on infrastructure projects like the new library and the streetscape project
  • Police and fire initiatives
  • New development projects
  • Parks and recreation activities

There will be opportunity for questions and answers as well as interaction with Supervisor Mallek and County staff members, including Police Chief Steve Sellers and Fire Rescue staff, on topics of particular interest.

All Western Albemarle residents are strongly encouraged to attend.

Missed the B&N Crozet Library Book Fair?

Don't worry, even if you missed the Crozet/Western Albemarle Library – Barnes & Noble Bookfair this past weekend there's still two other ways to support the Crozet/Western Albemarle Library via our Barnes & Nobles fundraising. 
1. Make purchases online and use our bookfair ID number from November 5th through November 9th, by going to:  BarnesandNoble.com    and using this number:   10853588
November 5th – 9th online sales via BarnesandNoble.com can be credited toward our fundraising account by including our bookfair ID number in the designated field at the bottom of the payment page. Our ID number is 10853588.
2.  Purchase books to donate via Barnes & Noble’s Holiday Book Drive.
November 1 – December 31
Purchase books to donate to the Crozet/Western Albemarle library.
This year, Barnes & Noble selected the Crozet Library as its one recipient of the Holiday Book Drive donations. Book buyers will be asked during the two months if they would like to purchase and donate a book from the Crozet Library wish list. These book purchases will be given directly to the library.
This is the best opportunity for anyone wishing to donate a specific book or set of books or shelf of books to the library. Pick up your favorites, buy them, and leave them at Barnes & Noble. 

With so many ways, surely you can Be Part of the Story during our Barnes and Noble events.

 

 

Crozet/Western Albemarle Library fundraising Book fair this weekend

Three ways to support the Crozet/Western Albemarle Library via the Barnes & Noble Bookfair, at Barracks Road, Charlottesville.
1.  Make purchases at the store and mention Crozet Libary.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
November 2, 3 & 4
9am-11pm (9 pm Sunday)
Barnes & Noble will donate a percentage of sales to help furnish the Crozet/Western Albemarle LibraryShoppers need to mention Crozet Library to the cashier for our account to be credited. Phone orders will be accepted; they will be credited to the bookfair if you mention our name and pay with the order. Membership discounts apply, as do coffee-shop purchases. A very few items are excepted: gift cards, textbooks, etc. 
Local performers, student essay contest winners, and local authors will be at the three-day bookfair. See the schedule below.
