The Crozet Culinary Competition for Charity is Thursday, September 19, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lodge at Old Trail.
This year the charities that benefit are Crozet Arts and the Crozet Lions.
There a few tickets left! You can get them at the five competing restaurants, King Family Vineyard, the Senior Center, the Lodge at Old Trail, or Crozet Lions Club members.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door (if there's any left!)
$5 for children 12 and under. Families are welcome.
Checks should be made payable to the the Lodge at Old Trail, with "chef competition" in the memo line.
They can only take cash or checks for tickets or to pay for any silent auction items won, so bring that checkbook along with you.
The ticket price includes free hors d'oeuvres and desserts. There'll be wine from several local vineyards and beer from two local breweries, and there is a substantial silent art auction associated with the event this year. There are over 30 items donated from local painters (Isabelle Abbot, Meg West, Priscilla Whitlock, John Hancock to name a few) and artisans as well as some great 'packages' of music, dinner and wine events and more.
Of course, the main event is a culinary competition among five Crozet chefs from four local restaurants –
- Bangkok '99. (Pat and Eddie Keomahathai – Last year's champion!)
- da Luca Cafe and Wine Bar (Ryan High)
- FarDowners (Mark Cosgrove)
- Southern Way Cafe (Jason Fitzgerald)
- Sal's Pizza (the Finazzo family)
Don’t miss this festive event featuring the Crozet chefs, a mystery basket of local ingredients and a fast paced hour of friendly and fierce culinary competition
There will be four judges, two of whom will be picked randomly from a raffle held at the start of the event! So don't be late!
