Presentation: Crozet Park Aquatics & Fitness Center (CPAFC) expansion project (Melissa Boucher, Founder of Boucher Impact Company)
Old Business:
- Crozet Independence Day Celebration
- The Crozet Board of Trade donated a total of $6,000 to the Downtown Crozet Initiative, CVFD, WARS, and the Crozet Trails Crew, Fellowship Church, and the CCA!
- Mark your calendar for the 250th anniversary of USA independence on July 4, 2026!
- Hanging Baskets along Crozet Avenue in downtown Crozet. Muff Biber, Tim Tolson, and Chelsea Powers (president of Crozet Board of Trade) are working on the details of draft contract from the Albemarle County Facilities and Environmental Services department. The aim is to have flower baskets as soon as possible.
- Windy Knoll (ZMA-2025-00007) is scheduled for a public hearing before the Planning Commission on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 6PM in the Lane Auditorium of the County Office building at 401 McIntire Road, Charlottesville, VA 22902. Participation in the public hearing is encouraged. The CCA had a presentation about the Windy Knoll re-submission at our last meeting.
New Business
- Election of CCA officers for 2026. Nominations are open for President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Current officers are: President: Tim Tolson, Vice-President: Lisa Goehler, Secretary: Jo Ann Perkins, and Acting Treasurer: Tim Tolson. Candidates must be present at this meeting or have spoken with a current officer about their willingness to serve if elected (Article II of the Bylaws).

- Household Hazardous waste on Friday & Saturday, April 17 & 18, 2026 from 9 AM to 3 PM at IMUC. https://rivannasolidwaste.org/accepted-items/#special-collections
- Electronic Waste Collection Day– Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 9A to 3P at IMUC
- You MUST pre-register: https://rivannasolidwaste.org/accepted-items/#special-collections. Registration will open approximately 30 days before the event. Space is limited to the first 488 households.
- Commercial Hazardous Waste Collection– Thursday, April 16, 2026. Qualifying businesses must pre-register with MXI Environmental to obtain an appointment. To Details on their website at http://www.rivanna.org/hhw/
- Bulky Waste Amnesty days: Furniture/Mattresses – April 25, 2026; Appliances – May 2, 2026; Tires – May 9, 2026. These three amnesty days are open from 8:30 AM to 4 PM.
- Electronic Waste Collection Day– Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 9A to 3P at IMUC
